What? He's finished already?

My sister's graduation was:
a) not all that long
b) had a rather short speech which was at the very least bearable
c) involved my sister stuffing up the 'formalities' when receiving the testamur from the Pro-Chancellor (and what the heck is a 'Pro'-Chancellor? Vice Chancellors, Deputy Vice Chancellors, you know where they fit, but Pro?)

And seeing as my sister had to get back in time to watch her precious TV (Thursday, for her, is "Amazing Race" night, whilst Thursday for me is Stargate night) we didn't hang around too long.

My Zen Micro performed admirably, giving me a nice soundtrack to distract myself as a gave fairly token hand-clapping to all the various others receiving their degrees who weren't my sister. The scroll-pad is a little twitchy, but its fine once you get use to it. You probably want to have it docked to set the time, etc. but otherwise once you're used to it its ok. It'd be a little nicer if the equalizer settings could be saved per track so I don't have to switch between the Jazz settings for The Gospel According to Groove and the Rock setting for PJ and others. I don't think I'll be using the personal organiser features anytime soon, but the voice recorder could come in handy. However, some sort of optional microphone jack could have considerably improved it. Anyway, it plays music quite well and it'll be seeing use as a personal force field during those train rides infested with students from Newtown Public, at least when I'm not with Ginny.
